So viele Farben Schwarz
Frank Rossi got this idea watching the movie “The Man Who Fell to Earth” by Nicolas Roeg, where David Bowie listens to music from some kind of crystal. The tonal pattern generator So viele Farben Schwarz explores the concept of self-organising tonal systems. Its purpose is to search for order and disorder in tonal harmonies coupled to interaction from the environment. The inclusion of the environment by use of physical interfaces opens up a cognitive space that should lead to an experience of autonomous tonal structures. A performance of a feedback loop with a basically open, unpredictable output that can not be actually interrupted or targeted by staging strategies.
