Tatsuru Arai describes Arkhitek-ton as Hyper Serial Music. The concept is based on Schönbergs 12-tone technique and further developed by René Leibowitz and Pierre Boulez into Serialism. To these principles Hyper Serial Music will add in three ways: structure, complexity and noise. It is music generated by state-of-the-art technology such as Artificial Intelligence rather than by native human intelligence only. Whereas traditional Serial Music incorporates the combination of 12 musical tones, Hyper Serial Music is composed of 1728 tones via the algorithm of a computer software.
